v3 A Symptom of the Universe
Experience type: Novel/Mini Series (youtube or netflix)
Current Plan: I don't care if this is animated or live action, but I think it would be a great idea to utilize both.
Also this is way too far off in the future for me to have any solid plan, but I'll hire friends and coworkers
to be actors if I have to ya know? I'll do what I have to do.
Plot basics: This version of the story starts off with the infinity machine getting a massive upgrade.
After crashing yet again, the frustrated programmers all separate for a moment of R&R, the lead programmer
goes to his favorite restaurant and discovers his biggest fan, who's created his own version of the
infinity machine, and is having the same troubles. After seeing the technical superiority of the "fan made" machine, the newbie is recruited to the team and they immediately get to work fusing the hardware and software together. After countless ages of work, they are confident that the infinity machine can actually run infinitely this time. Lets find out.

The actual plot of this story begins after that. Our main character is simply known as "Rat Girl", possibly in her 20s, homeless in a big city. Nobody knows if she can even talk. After starving to death and watching her entire life flash before her eyes, she sees the door we're all now familiar with, and the "[S]elect your destination", but before anything, her mother is there, waiting all this time to give her the life she was never able to live.

She eventually befriends the most unlikely of people, her life nemesis, the young woman that worked the graveyard shift at the local convenience store that always chased her out when she was trying to steal food. She also begins catching up on the education she never got at the Milky Way Academy of Learning, and falls in love with another student, another who never got a chance to learn in the mortal life.
She lives the life she never got to live to its absolute fullest, the problem comes when dealing with loss. Most of us have had that experience at least once before, but when her loved ones all long for eternal rest, she creates artificial versions of them to help cope with existence, and ends up revolutionizing the infinity machine within itself, bringing focus to preserving the memories of those who have gone to the void.
Features: Introduces the concept of the "Earth-in-a-box", which is a preservation of not only the human species, but everything that has ever happened on earth. The theme of this story is preservation through love, and ultimately, it's that love that turns to anger and destroys the infinity machine once again. Did I just spoil a story that I haven't even written yet? lol my bad.
